The next day things really got out of control. You would think that a base the US Army has used for ten years would have pretty decent infrastructure on it. But you would be wrong. The bulk of the money from the War on Terror went to Iraq up until a year ago and so where you could go to a Burger King a year after we moved to Baghdad, ten years later you still have gravel roads on Kandahar. So as transportation around the FOB ground to a halt and the waste water pond started to over flow people started doing dumb things, mainly in vehicles. The pictures here are the minor road incidents that happened. Bear in mind, these vehicles are on roads that see well over 2,000 vehicles a day.
