We went back to Kandahar to start receiving our aircraft from the States. Kandahar is one of a soldier's least favorite places due to the smell (the PX sells shirts that say "Welcome to the Stink Pond Cafe") that emanates from the waste water pond, it is cramped (soldiers live three and four per building there were as in Wolverine some live one per and most live two per) and the food is horrible. But, little did I know how long we would spend there. The first day went and as planned and our soldiers with some help from other units began putting together the A/C.
