One of the social events that gives our soldiers great pleasure is "tagging." I believe this term came about in 1980's urban America and involved spray paint, but in A 4-101 it means stickers. The advantage of stickers over spray paint is that it requires no artistic ability and they are a little bit easier to remove than paint in case they get somewhere that they are not supposed to be.
We brought a few stickers with us from the states that gradually started to show up around the FOB. We quickly realized that we would need more and it just so happened that one of our Warrants, Sauce, had a cousin that new someone that worked at a sticker company (I think the company probably uses the term "label") and hooked us up with a 10 big stickers, and about 1000 small ones (an invoice came with the delivery that said $999). Since then stickers have been showing up all over the place. One of our proudest is the company sticker below. It is right outside the Chow hall and faces toward our living area. It has actually already been torn down once. However, after an apology from a young soldier it was quickly replaced with some black paint behind it so that even if it was torn down again the A Co Diamond would remain.
