Not a whole lot to look at I know. But, this is it. Highway 1. The road that makes a ring around Afghanistan starting in Kabul. This road is, and always will be, the focal point of American efforts in Afghanistan. Why? Because this road is the key to linking the national capital, to the regional and provincial capitals. The struggle in Afghanistan long ago ceased being about fighting off the Taliban and became connecting the Afghan National Government/Army with the people.
