So, if you don't know the Army changed it's policy on shoes about three months ago and made five toe shoes illegal (I had some). Five toes were shoes that looked like "Five toes" and were supposed to simulate going barefoot. A popular trend right now in the running and working out circuits are to emulate going barefoot because it is supposed to strengthen toes and feet. The new hotness is the Barefoot-traditional hybrid that gives you the barefoot feel, without the look.

They look great, I just got some new kicks with neon green laces. What was the reasoning behind outlawing 5 toe sneakers?
They said that it didn't look "professional." Go figure, when you are more concerned with how the shoes look than what work out value the shoes have you are paying attention to the wrong things.
So....are they just outlawed over there? Can you wear them on post in the States? Weird.
