Flying was severely restricted over the past week or so due to poor weather. The weather is fed by the jet stream across Russia and the warm moist air from the Indian Ocean. Together the frequently combine to place a system that looks like a mini hurricane on top of us. The winds aren't bad it is just the constant precipitation and fog. This picture is of one of those nights. The light tower is probably about 150 meters away and total visibility was only about 50 meters beyond that. Even though we have had lots of precipitation it still hasn't gotten as cold as I thought.
