The hallways aren't very wide here and the rooms aren't completely walled off. So when you are trying not to turn on the lights at night to avoid waking up your room mates  and walk in the hallway at the same time that can spell trouble. Especially for my knee caps when Sam S. has his duty supplies in front of his room (on the left) directly across from my room. I have almost killed myself once tripping over that box.
